PMOs are increasingly expected to demonstrate not only what they do, but the impact they create for their organisations.
This interactive masterclass-style workshop provides PMO leaders and professionals with an opportunity to explore PMO maturity, impact and development through a practical, data-driven approach.
​
Before the workshop, participants should complete a Tier 1 PMO Assessment as part of the registration process. The aggregated results will then be used during the session to provide a broader view of PMO maturity in South Africa and create a foundation for discussion and learning.
​
During the workshop, participants will explore the importance of PMO impact, review the aggregated South African PMO maturity results, and discuss the key insights, gaps and implications emerging from the data.
​
Rather than focusing only on presentations and theory, the workshop is designed around active participation and shared learning. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their own PMO environment, compare perspectives with peers and identify areas where their PMO could strengthen its contribution to organisational performance.
​
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of PMO maturity, the factors that influence PMO impact, and practical insights they can take back to their own organisations.

Workshop title: Leading with Agility: A Practical Introduction to Agile and Scrum

Workshop summary
​
In today's fast-changing business environment, leaders need more than detailed plans. They need the ability to adapt, learn quickly, and continuously deliver value. This interactive workshop introduces leaders and project professionals to the Agile mindset through the Scrum framework.
Participants will explore how self-managing teams, lean thinking, empirical process control, and clear Agile accountabilities enable organisations to respond effectively to uncertainty, and will compare traditional plan-driven approaches with value-driven delivery. In an engaging Paper Airplane Scrum Simulation, attendees experience iterative planning, collaboration, inspection, and adaptation first-hand.
The workshop concludes with the Scrum Suitability Slider exercise, helping participants identify where Agile creates the greatest business value and where traditional approaches remain appropriate. No prior Agile knowledge is required. Participants leave with practical insights and tools they can apply immediately within their organisations.
