Submissions are welcome from academics, researchers, doctoral candidates, industry practitioners, and public sector professionals. Both individual and co-authored papers are accepted.

Can one author submit more than one paper?

Yes. Authors may submit multiple papers, provided each submission meets the required standards and thematic relevance.

What types of papers are accepted?

We accept:
 • Full research papers
 • Applied and practice-based papers
 • Conceptual and interdisciplinary studies

All submissions must align with the themes of the Academic Programme 2026 and demonstrate relevance to project-oriented work.

Do papers need to be academic, or are practical contributions accepted?

While the Hope Summit places strong emphasis on practical insights, the academic programme welcomes both rigorous academic research and high-quality practice-based contributions.

Question 6

Will all accepted papers be included in the Summit proceedings?

Accepted Answer

Papers accepted for presentation at the Summit will be included in the proceedings unless they are selected for journal publication, in which case they will be published separately after the event.

Where will accepted papers be published?

Accepted Answer

Accepted papers will be published in the Hope Summit Proceedings. Selected high-quality papers may also be invited for submission to the South African Journal of Industrial Engineering (SAJIE), subject to the journal’s own review and publication criteria.

Is presentation at the Hope Summit mandatory?

Yes. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the Summit and present the paper in person at the Hope Summit.

Do presenters need to purchase a Summit ticket?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All paper presenters are required to register for the Hope Summit by the stated presenter registration deadline. Registration fee is -50% from normal ticket prices.

What language should papers be written in?

All papers must be written and presented in English.

What is the review process?

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review conducted by members of the Scientific Council and appointed reviewers. Acceptance is based on quality, relevance, originality, and clarity.
